1. The RA Sigs Corps Capability Conference (CCC) was held at DFSS on 15 -16 Sep 16. The conference covered many contemporary issues relevant to the Corps meeting Army's future CISEW requirements in a contested and congested environment.
2. A series of Defence Papers were developed in advance of the CCC and these ideas were refined through presentations and discussions at the conference. This work is intrinsically linked to the parallel analysis work being conducted as part of the RA Sigs End to End Capability Review.
3. It is expected outcomes of the 2016 CCC and End to End Capability Review will develop a RA Sigs perspective on key issues, informing future capability development, the RA Sigs Employment Category Review and further organisational structure reviews.
NOTE: Extracts from some of Defence Papers are available here on Signaller magazine 2016 with the remainder available from the RASIGS (Internal Only) Defence Intranet SharePoint Site.
4. As we progress towards RA Sigs modernisation in lockstep with Army modernisation, I welcome and encourage dialogue through the Chain of Command on these key themes to inform ongoing RA Sigs modernisation planning. DHOC, LTCOL Deane Limmer, remains the lead for follow on comments for consideration, or any key after action review points on the 2016 CCC format continuous improvement.
